Browser extension

The Cliplume browser extension records the current tab with tab audio and an optional microphone. When the download finishes, it opens the recording in the Cliplume desktop editor.

Install with “Load unpacked”​

Chrome Web Store publishing is not available yet. To install the current build:

  1. Download the Chrome/Edge extension ZIP.
  2. Unzip it to a folder you will keep.
  3. Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions).
  4. Enable Developer mode.
  5. Choose Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
  6. Pin Cliplume in the toolbar.

Record a tab​

Open the tab you want to record, click the Cliplume icon, choose tab audio, microphone, and quality, then click Record. A 3-2-1 countdown appears over the tab. When you click Stop, the extension saves a WebM file under Downloads/Cliplume/ and offers to open it in the desktop app.

Install Cliplume desktop before recording so the cliplume:// handoff can import the file.
